About Red Horse
We are Felicia and Tim Slavin,
a husband and wife writing team with many years experience with traditional
and interactive media. Our collaboration often yields insights and approaches
(and fun) that we would not have gained from our individual experience.
Red Horse is our way to harness our writing experiences to help you communicate
with your customers and to find new ones. We offer you the ability to
take complex products and services and make them easy for your customers
to understand and use.
We differ from marketing agencies
in that we have lower overhead costs. You also know who is working on
your behalf because you have a direct link to us with no management layers
to worry about. Need a change or have a bright idea? You can tell us directly.
You get lots of good ideas as we develop solutions to your communication
problems because our backgrounds are different:
- Felicia Slavin grew up in New York, and attended the University of
Arizona where she earned University Honors and made Dean's List three
times in her major of Radio/Television. After internships at the BBC
and NBC, she started her career as a media planner at Young & Rubicam
in Manhattan. She has worked as a marketer and writer.
- Tim Slavin grew up in California. He attended the University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor. At Michigan, he won a prestigious Jules
and Avery Hopwood Award (the playwright Arthur Miller also won as
a student). Later, an internet marketing team he led at Oxford Health
Plans helped win a CIO.com 50/50 Best of the Web award (GE and FedEx
also won that year) and healthcare industry awards for the Oxford website.
In short, Red Horse is our way
to use our values and experiences to help solve your communication challenges
and opportunities.
